Website Review 2 : CSS Zen Garden

Purpose

The purpose of the website is to excite,inspire, and encourage participation in CSS.

  1. What is the site's URL? Why is it your favorite??
    http://www.csszengarden.com/214/.
    This is my favorite website because it the website looks clean and the repeated green, light green, and white offer a calmy contrast. The text are all the same colors and font so the website flows. The alignment is vertical in columns and easy to read. The website offers links for CSS guides and examples.
  2. Does the site's home page validate?
    The site's home page does not validate because it has 4 warnings. The warnings are for the banner,complementary and navigation role is unnecessary for elemnt.
  3. Does the second page validate? Document how many validation errors and/or warnings may exist on each of the two pages you validate. The second page was https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/. It didn't validate with 71 errors and 5 warnings.
  4. How would you rate the site's design, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10(fantastic)? why?
    I would give the website a 8. I really liked the background colors and how the colors created a clean website. The font was easy to read on the homepage. It had a great color scheme with the different greens and white. The navigation was on the right and showed the Zen Garden. These links showed me how the same information could be shared in different designs like steel or screen file.
  5. How would you rate the site's usability, on a scale of 1(horrible) to 10(fantastic)? why?
    The usability of the site is a 8. The site didn't have a home page. The site was easy to navigate with all the links on the right to look at the different CCS designs.
  6. Does the site meet it's purpose?
    The website's purpose is to excite, inspire and encourage participation in CCS. The eight examples of CSS does inspire me to try different CSS designs.
